I’m sure the full phrase it references is “going down in a blaze of glory”, and is just Elon’s edgy nod that he is catastrophically destroying the platform, but just enough deniability In case it all works out and is a success.

I thought it was about hotboxing a glory hole booth.
Doesn't that expression have connotation with "fighting to the bitter end"?
Twitter's situation with Musk is less one of fighting to the last breath but going down none the less (taking as many of the other side as you can), and more one of suicide by incompetence.
