If you're looking to avoid all "problematic" content, you better shut down the service right now.
Not what they said, but sure. It's about legally actionable content, and there are countries where linking can be actioned.
I don't know where lemmy.world is situated, but if such laws could apply to them it's entirely understandable that they will try to avoid getting into trouble. More so because they're the largest instance, if the RIAA for example would go after anything on Lemmy, they'd go after this one for sure.
