I really liked the feeling of the mechanical keyboards. I'm a newbie at this and I bought one, and got pain in wrists within a few days. So had to stop using it and go back to my almost flat Logitech.
It seems it's required to use palm rests to have a good experience?
Maybe you just need switches with a lower weight requirement to depress then?
Lighter springs make tactile switches feel so much better too.
Was trying to think what a tactical switch was for a second there, assumed it was a gaming thing, then realised you meant tactile, lol.
Those are my bag, great feeling without being too loud.
By design, mechs are quite a bit taller, because the switches are taller.
Unless you're a "floating" typist, I would recommend a palmrest.
