No way this planet survives with our species on it for that long.

I think the planet is gonna be fine, not sure about life though.

Life will be fine, not sure about current life forms though.

once there was too much oxygen in the air and the most species to ever die, died.

another time there was a giant rock that slammed into the planet with more force than anything anyone can imagine and a ton of life died.

but life is still here i think it will last 6 thousand more years

There's already life that eats plastic and radiation. That's future ancestors.

[–] BowtiesAreCool@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Hey bud don’t sell yourself short. You eat plastic and radiation too!

" not sure about HUMAN life though"

[–] imperator3733@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Even human life will still likely survive, just not necessarily in the large-scale, global civilization that we have today. Even if that all collapses, scattered pockets of human civilization will remain across much of the world.

Nah we'll make it.

Humans are fucking pesky. We'll have a species with like 75,000 folks living in caves that are still cool, eating mushrooms to survive .

Not sure where we'll go from there. Probably largely depends on the 75,000 that make it.
