Historians will someday point to the Legislative Branch ceding power to the Executive, for decades, as the beginning of the end of America's empire.

Every Congress, Republican or Democrat, doesn't matter, has given more and more power to the President since the 60s. Guess they figure they'll have that power when the seat changes?

FFS, the President can commit the country to war and tell Congress to get bent. It's stunning.
