This is my daily computing Linux desktop using GNOME. Somewhat inspired by Windows 11 I guess. (had to use it for work for a while back)

I am curious do others find this appearance pleasing and functional ? Feel free to give feedback or improvements.

Theming:

  • GTK: adw-gtk3 & adw-colors Peninsula-dark (windowcontrols only)
  • Cursor: Bibata Modern Ice
  • Firefox: Firefox Alpenglow and Tabliss

GNOME Extensions:

  • Alphabetical App Grid
  • AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support
  • Blur my Shell
  • ClipboardHistory
  • Dash to Panel
  • Date Menu Formatter
  • Just Perfection
  • Notification Banner Reloaded
  • Rounded Corners
  • Rounded Window Corners Reborn
  • Tiling Shell
  • Weather or Not

Why do gnome users have so many extensions installed? I only use blur my shell...

To me I need to see the open programs and the amount of windows of those. Also maybe because of familiarity never got used to title bar of app and status bar both being on top of the screen to me this layout is more sense. Anyways also tried KDE which would require less extensions but the issue was weather, clock style and other minor things I could not tweak/fine tune to look right for me.
