She not only thinks this, but took the time to plan this out. At no point while thinking about shooting immigrants, or building a dummy to represent an immigrant, or taping its arms and legs, or putting it in a chair, or loading the gun, or setting up a tripod to film it, or pulling the trigger, or loading it to a computer to edit it, or uploading it, did she think maybe this is a bit much.
Disgusting human trash.
I'm not arguing this isn't horrible, because it is, but it isn't "too much." She gets articles written about her stance against immigrants, which is beneficial to her. The people voting for her obviously aren't turned away by this crap, so it's only a positive for her.
What are the chances that one of the motivations for these people is profit. ? I mean, seriously. Is there profit potential here for these creators whose content goes viral, or does it only satisfy their sadistic blood lust ? Misanthropy of the highest, or direct connection to the cult?
One thing the rise of the Internet has led to is people's desire not for information about the world around them, but for echo chambers that just repeat what they want to hear. For others, finding that echo chamber isn't enough. They need to be in the center of that chamber causing the echo. Eyes and ears on them, always. And for these people, no level of extreme is too much so long as it results on the attention being focused on them. Not only do they want to find the echo chamber, they want to control the echo chamber to ensure that it will always continue to just tell them what they want to hear.
Profit and consolidation of power are secondary motives, but that is the primary. And the reason that it's the primary is that they know that if they're successful, the profit and consolidation of power are soon to follow anyway.
