Built in 2009, 15 years old. So quite a modern vessel, unlike the clapped out tankers they just lost.
15 years is a terrifyingly long time to last without proper maintenance though.
Not for a large ship like this one.
I do think there's something suspicious about this sinking.
Except its last inspection was in 2022 and included a number of deficiencies. Since then it has avoided inspections. It’s likely some type is deferred maintenance was the cause.
It's the killer whales, they have started to attack freighters.
Covert marine mammals wouldn't even be that far fetched compared to what has already happened in this war.
