I had chagas as a kid, and it wreaked havoc on my body. One doc pointed out I probably had some organ scarring. That was over ten years ago. So, as the title, do I need to be on my toes as I get older?

From my very limited understanding and personal experience, some may be able to.

At the end of 2010 I became seriously ill, and one of the issues I had was ground glass lesions in one of my lungs. About two or three years ago, I was having some health issues again and asked if the lesions were anything to do with it. I was told that they had healed over time and were gone.

The name lesions suggests that they were open wounds, but I'd always understood it that they were scars. Because of my other health issues though, I've never really looked into it, everything else took priority.
