Why do so many Lemmy servers use the .ml top-level domain? Is there a meaning to it?

Commonly used to indicate the domain related to “machine learning”.

In this case it may also be related to Marxism-Leninism.

I'd probably say this is why it was chosen by the original devs as I hear they're outspoken communists. Other domains are likely just following suit.
