Chronicle the life and tale of the fediverse (+ matrix)
Largely a sublemmy about capturing drama, from fediverse spanning drama to just lemmy drama.
Includes lore like how a instance got it's name, how an instance got defederated, how an admin got doxxed, fedihistory etc
(New) This sub's intentions is to an archive/newspaper, as in preferably don't get into fights with each other or the ppl featured in the drama

You're asking a question that's already has an answer in the sidebar...
That will get removed from most communities.
You may not have linked one, but you're asking for people to do so in the comments. And the mods would be obligated to check if any were a scam. Which they explained they've had issues with people posting scam links.
That's not even getting into how one of the most common ways scamming post is one account asking a question, then an affiliated account answering.
I just don't see what you're so upset about...
The sidebar only shows a list of charities not a rule that posting about charities is not allowed.
I did not provide any "scam" links in the post. I was only asking what is the best way to support charities financially.
That does not warrant my post to be removed. I was posting the community on a regular basis for weeks before.
I feel upset because the time I took to make that post is now wasted because the moderator didn't do their due diligence in adding a rule beforehand for everyone to see so we can stop having this discussion. They could've locked the post and said they're going to add a new rule but instead they doubled down on their overhanded tactic and refused to discuss the matter forever when I stated I felt their actions were unfair.
Right...
It answered the question you were asking...
That is your opinion, the mod explained why theirs is different, pretty in depth actually. If you disagree, make a new community and post away whatever you want
....
If a five minute text post is a lot of effort, the practice was probably good for you.
But I don't think anyone explaining anything is going to help here.
You're missing the point. There was no rule about not posting about charities... Did you even read the sidebar it says nothing about it being against the rules. There needs to be a rule that says "no discussion of charities." because the current sidebar isn't going to cut it for a removal of my post.
Since you're victimblaming then I'm done talking to you.
