If you are trying to win an argument, watch out for the narrow loophole: your opponent may claim that adults can still get non-federally-funded trans healthcare, if they can still find a doctor after that private right of action chilling effect. The loophole is so narrow as to be useless, and the video demonstrates Trump clearly wishes to stop all trans healthcare.

Thanks, yeah honestly based on my conversations with the dude he doesn’t seem evil, just misinformed.

I think based on the few conversations I’ve had with him he believes that the puberty blockers on their own cause long term effects, and that large numbers of minors in this country have affirming surgeries. I countered that no they don’t and that the number of minors who get surgery is incredibly low.

I am currently researching scholarly sources for both points - if anyone has high quality resources I’d appreciate them.

Yeah, I’ll probably fail but maybe not. If nobody tries, nothing will get better.
