The disturbing part is not that people like this exist.

The disturbing part is that there is a community of wealthy elites, trained academics, political influencers, established figures and actual leaders who all allow psychopaths, sociopaths and fascist sympathizers into prominent positions and push them into the spotlight.

Individuals don't get into prominent roles because they're powerful .... they get there because others around them support them and enable their rise to power.
