Most software similar to PieFed delegates the job of maintaining the health of communities to the moderators of those communities. This frees up the instance administrators to focus on technical issues and leave a lot of the politics and social janitorial work to others. [...]

I like the ideas.

However, there are certain things, like the ‘88,’ that I think should be less strict. Instead of automatically banning someone who has ‘88’ in their username, it should be better to notify the admins to verify that the account is not Nazi.

There are several people with usernames like dragon_1988 because the person was born in 1988 and doesn’t know the Nazi symbolism.
