Android has a lower floor but a higher ceiling, imo. The bad phones are REALLY bad, but good ones with tweaking beat iPhone easily for me. I had an iPhone for the last two years and couldn't wait to get back on Android. My main issues were not being able to have a permanent number row and long-press symbols on the keyboard, no easy file access, Firefox just being a reskin of Safari, certain apps having no equivalent (Transdroid for adding torrents to my seedbox, for one). I use my phone like a little computer (because it is one) and iOS had too many roadblocks that constantly reminded me of how Apple will never let their users have power if they can get away with it.
Oh yeah, I would definitely take the pixel phones over an iphone any day, I love GrapheneOS to death. This was a bit of a meme post tbh, Thallo told me to post something controversial to boost engagement and I did. I actually prefer android in general, but phones like Samsung's tend to suffer from a lot of the same things iphones do, hence why I went for a pixel (also Graphene OS is huge). They also just last such a long time, I still have a few years left in my phone and I've already had it for over a year (which is more of an issue with other androids then iphones).
