This makes me think about the false belief that it's possible to make progress. Any victories will probably be small- look at the supreme court.

Politicians spend 30% of their time fundraising. No need for illegal bribes when lobbyists exist.

Capitalism isn't going to be controlled by workers, maybe we can figure out what comes after capitalism and try to accelerate the transition if we think it will be better.

But yeah one candidate wants to squeeze our society and drink its blood and the other wants it to function adequately.
