I played a couple rounds of Kill Team with my friend to see if it was to my liking. Once the flow state kicked in, I was super engaged. Beastmen are super fun and I hope we eventually get a Loyalist equivalent, considering my love for more obscure units and alien races in that game.
TFW you have a friend group that plays 40k but they refuse to play Kill Team
I may be biased because I have the most playable KTs (Kasrkin, Inquisitorial Goon Squad, Blades of Khaine, and while I will never buy anything related to Krieg I'm sure I could use my Valhallans for Veteran Guardsmen), and the AdMech and 'Nid players are pissed that they've never gotten a box after, what, 5 years of KT2.0.
Edit: Jesus fucking christ the new community article for the SM/DG starter refers to them as "the proud Space Marines of the Angels of Death facing down the removed heretics of the Plague Marines". GW not beating the cryptofash allegations.
I've always loved all the weird Witchhunter models. Half of the old pewter dudes are basically made for a smaller game. Sorry you can't find a lot of KT people. I prefer building over playing, so that sidegame is certainly more my pace.
