I have only used two, a weird mechanical curved spring thing that i couldn't get to work and the Braun Silk-épil 9 which I absolutely adore. I have used it everywhere on my body except the groin and face. If you get one my #1 tip is to go slow my results improved dramatically when i went reeaalll slow!!!
Do they make ones for the face or is that just a bad idea?
dysphoria/mental health
(I've spent hours and hours before doing my entire face with tweezers after a mental breakdown from a horrible shaving experience so pain isn't really an issue, I just want whatever's most effective to tie me over until I can get laser/electrolysis)I was warned not to use it on my face by the people who suggested i try epilating.
The manual and what I can find on google suggest that it's completely fine you just have to be careful and test small patches.
I'm older and my skin is both thin and sensitive so i'm just going very slowly and while i feel safe proceeding for myself I don't want to encourage anyone else to do something that might not be right for them.
Having said all that if you want to experience maximum mirror neuron torture there are 'bad beard waxing' videos on youtube that made me want to cry for the recipients. I would like to get it waxed and then epilate after that but idk how you trust a wax person yet!
face is the whole reason i do it. my skin is a nightmare with shaving. there isn't a special face epilator afaik, i just use a normal epilator.
first time is the most painful, when i started again a couple months ago i tweezed it the first time and then doing it regularly isn't terribly painful.
Thank you, I might have to get one and give that a try
no problem, i hope it works out for you
a friend of mine told me about an oil that you can put on after hair removal that stops it coming back over time, and i've ordered some, i'm really hoping that it works. it's called cyperus rotundus oil. i'll try and post in a few months if it works because i think ppl would find it v useful
