Did something happen with Godot that caused the lost sponsors....?
Edit: this thread has some discussion if you're out of the loop like me

Kinda sounds like Godot did pretty much nothing wrong and it's just a bunch of internet drama? Hard to tell honestly
They made a cheeky tweet asking for people to share their projects while referencing a lowlife saying that "using 3rd party engines is woke"
cockroach "people" then jumped in on it triggering a harassment campaign
Please dont call people lowlifes or cockroaches or "people" thats such a Nazi way of expressing your thoughts. Im sure there are better insults that dont involve calling them "subhuman".
For those objecting to this it's absolutely true. Fight Nazis, with guns when necessary, but do not be misled into believing they are wholly alien or inhuman. That's how you end up living in the middle of a bunch of Nazis without realizing their Nazis.
Remember the most pathetic thing about these people is they they are as human as everyone else, they just actively decided to utterly lobotomize their empathy and compassion.
The last thing I want is to normalize dehumanizing people
Maybe it comes from being a part of a group that has historically been dehumanized but it always leads to bad outcomes
Bots ain't people yet.
I’ll remember that as they put you on the wall, right after they put me up there too.
You don’t try to love cancer away, you cut it out or physically destroy it by all means possible.
And boy, has Western society metastasized.
Dehumanising really isn’t effective against nazis, because it implies that actual humans aren’t capable of atrocious behaviour while we’ve clearly seen that they are. It’s always better to call nazis/fascists/imperialists/colonialists/racists/homophobes/etc by their name.
If we look at their perspective, engines that could block you from developing in them are more "woke" than an open source one that doesn't enforce any restriction on its developers by design. Going after godot for this feels so dumb.
It's just a vocal minority of people with nothing to do, so they get mad at other people being happier than they are.
Ah. I misread the post, I follow what the guy is saying and what your title was about now.
And yeah that's more or less the basic jist I was getting. Seems like a really dumb thing for people to be upset over.
