With all this great Lemmy app competition coming out, the desktop is painfully lacking behind
Have you tried Alexandrite?
not OP, but i don't use it mainly because it wastes a lot of space. it's not bad.. but i prefer my feed to be a little more content dense
I do too, but the multi-pane makes up for it. Devs have said a "compact" mode is in the works.
It is too slow to me, I don't think it is a hardware issue to be honest.
Wdym?
It hangs/freeze several times, unlike stock UI or old.lemmy.world.
What are you viewing it on?
I've never had any issues.
Subscribed feed on lemmy.world from a MacBook Pro 2014 running Safari.
mlmym is a great old.reddit clone
Or just old.lemmy.world for this instance.
A new Desktop interface is being hosted on lemmy.world soon, named Photon
They're taking a page out if Firefox's play book I see
It works really nicely! We've already been hosting it at https://nu.lemdro.id. My personal fav.
