Creating Music with ProTracker?

Anyone able to point me to some good resources on creating music with ProTracker? I haven't really found much as far as not having any prior music knowledge, and using that particular Amiga program.

I don't think I've tried OpenMPT, how does it compare to MilkyTracker?

Very similar when it comes to the core principles behind it. The UI is very different, but it can essentially do all the same things and even shares some file formats for projects.
