Work.
I'm currently sitting in a minibus near an industrial port in the middle east, waiting for the crewboat to arrive. It's taking me on a 10 hour ride for me to board a ship pretty much in the middle of the Persian gulf. I will most likely be on board tomorrow and finish up what I'm doing the same day.
Then it's a short transfer to another ship nearby where the same job awaits.
If timing works out I will head back to shore on Sunday, arriving very early Monday. Then it's a few days of chill before my return flight on Thursday.
Damn, how's the pay for a job with those travel requirements?
Pretty decent. Similar to other offshore roles with specialization.
Nice. I used to work in the oilfield in West Texas. Pay was good, I had offshore opportunities for even better pay but I decided against it. Oil industry was not great to work in, in my position anyway.
