Was this guy born yesterday? You don't "ask" the internet for anything like this. Just adds more fuel to the fire.

This is classic Japan "don't harm public morals" grand standing. Japanese culture puts on a good mask to show everyone else how good and clean they are, but go take a look at their fan mangas and old video games and that mask doesn't just come off, it flings itself off like a pinball from the plunger runway.

I like Japan, but they really gotta get a grip on some stuff. Particularly this "public morals" facade, their awful defamation laws, their work culture, and their insistence on allowing Japanese businesses to attempt to apply Japanese laws in jurisdictions and countries that the laws do not and can not apply.

How is this the Japanese government's responsibility? They aren't enforcing those laws in countries they don't have jurisdiction, are they? Or do you mean the average person in Japan?

Japanese developers may have a still lag towards the new generation of Japanese gamers (which are almost strictly on Mobile with PC gaming arising).

I wonder what's his stance towards fan made Doujinshi; yeah, I mean "those" Doujinshi.

It's for posterity. He 'asks' the same of FFXIV players and yet it's modding scene is one of the most degenerate places in gaming.

I know. Just people on these kinds of positions used to have the brains to just ignore this stuff and pretend it doesn't happen.

...you don't spend much time outside of the FF14 community, huh? 😅

at least you're admitting it's degenerate

Nowhere near the scales of other communities 😂🤣 have you not heard of overwatch? The game was literally made for r34, as far as I can tell
