Comrades, are pinned posts authoritarian?
Do you remember the user, during the early Chapo chat days, that got their account banned because they kept down voting pinned/featured posts? They down voted every pinned or featured post because they didn't like them appearing on their feed. This was back when some idiots kept down voting every trans positive post. A pinned post was then made highlighting this, pointing out that users who continue to down vote anything trans positive would be banned. Then a trans positive megathread was made. They proceeded to down vote the megathread and get banned.
I remember they made a new account to discuss and dispute the ban and on that new account immediately downvoted the pinned post and got banned for it again
Absolute commitment to the bit
They went down with the ship lol, really sticking to the principle of down voting any pinned thread
This was a moderator and they were also banned for constantly derailing conversations in mod chat, calling for poster unionization (still don’t know what this means), and calling for admin elections (as in server stewardship switching hands). I remember a lot of weirdly passive aggressive behavior in general as well.
