Comic Books

A place to discuss comic books of all types, from old to new, Big 2 to indie, and everything in between.

Floppies, graphic novels, compilations, omnibusses (omnibusi?) are all fair game.

There is only one rule:*

Comic Books is a no judgement zone.

You can talk all you want about how Rob Liefeld is trash, Bob Kane is an asshole, or Frank Miller and Dave Sim’s politics have made them toxic, that’s all good.

If, however, another user is LEGITIMATELY a fan of something you don’t like, that does NOT make them a lesser person. Attack the art for being bad, not the person for being a fan of bad art.

* I lied. There are TWO rules... No piracy. Cover shots? That's good. Interior pages, in moderation? Sure. Full books? Links to pirate sites? That's how we get things shut down. :(

I'm not saying it's been a problem, because it hasn't been.

New list is up! Good one for me this week!

Batman Off-World #5 - This is still running? Bout damn forgot about this one!

Convert #1 - "Science Officer Orrin Kutela finds himself stranded on a distant planet, starving and haunted by the ghosts of his dead crew. On the verge of death, he makes an astonishing discovery. Veteran writer John Arcudi (Rumble, B.P.R.D.) and illustrator Savanna Finley bring you a sci-fi/fantasy comic like no other." Sounds interesting enough!

Drawing Blood #5 - Drawing Blood! Raining Blood plays. Kevin Eastman rules.

Sacrificers #11 - Sacrificers! Pigeon has been fucking shit up, Soluna is having a rough time, can't wait to see what this issue brings!

Universal Monsters Frankenstein #1 - The Creature reboot was good, I'll try this one too.

What're you pulling?

Let's see here... Jesus, this week is GIANT for me. Lots of delayed stuff kind of wrapping around into the same week...

Batman Dark Age #5 - One more to go! Elderly Bruce Wayne writing a memoir.

Batman Off-World #5 - One more to go! This one has been super delayed, this should have been over by now.

Batman The Brave And The Bold #16 - One of the better anthology books running.

Flash #12 - Digging in to the ramifications of the speed force, but feels like it's dragging at this point.

BRZRKR The Lost Book Of B #1 - Keanu Reeves as the eternal warrior.

Captain America #12 - Been enjoying this run.

Gotham City Sirens #4 - Final issue in a weekly series. I still need to catch up with #3.

Green Arrow #15 - Another good run.

Hunger And The Dusk Book Two #2 - I liked book 1, need to catch up here.

John Constantine Hellblazer Dead In America #8 - This is one that I've been waiting to finish to binge read. 3 more to go!

Last Mermaid #6 - Post apocalypse, the last mermaid survives in a mech suit full of water with her pet Axolotl.

Life #1 - Not sure what this is about, but all of the DSTLRY books are solid.

Marvel 85th Anniversary Special #1 - Could be interesting!

Phases Of The Moon Knight #1 - Yet another Moon Knight series, likely clean up after bringing Marc Spector back to life in Blood Hunt.

Power Girl #12 - Love this + Streaky.

Rocketeer Breaks Free #2 - I love the Rocketeer, but the constant spin offs are starting to feel disrespectful.

Sacrificers #11 - When a sacrifice survives!

Ultimate X-Men #6 - Gotta be honest, I still haven't read any of these. This will be a good excuse.

White Boat #2 - All of the DSTLRY books are worth a look.

X-Men #3 - The Post Krakoa era has been pretty bad, both in terms of writing and art, but I'm hopeful.

Zatanna Bring Down The House #3 - Black Label Zatanna series in Vegas. Really good read!

Zero Hour 30th Anniversary Special #1 - Zero Hour was the event that introduced Jack Knight as Starman. Looking forward to this if only for that!

Oh I must've missed White Boat #2 on the list, I'll be getting that too!

Coulda sworn we were waiting for #3 though...
