For me, it may be that the toilet paper roll needs to have the open end away from the wall. I don't want to reach under the roll to take a piece! That's ludicrous!

That or my recent addiction to correcting people when they use "less" when they should use "fewer"

TP roll end goes over, not under.

It's even shown like this in the patent

That just tells me that the patent holder never owned a cat, overly curious dog, or ferret.

I keep my roll of tp in the sink. I pick the whole thing up each time I use it.

in the sink

Well, seems consistent with the kind of person that doesn't wash their hands. So, I guess no worry about the roll getting wet.

[–] mightyfoolish@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Probably meant under the sink cabinet or on the cabinet itself.

mmm, homemade moist towelettes

My holders at home were all installed vertically….

[–] QuarterSwede@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

You obviously don’t have cats.

[–] Speiser0@feddit.org 1 points 4 months ago

Are people really using an acronym for toilet paper? Why?

[–] frezik@midwest.social 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Until you have a cat and learn the hard way to do the opposite.

I had cats in my childhood, and they didn't care how it was hung. If they were interested in it, it got played with
