can everyone please for the love of fucking god just delete twitter already?

[–] Assman@sh.itjust.works 128 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I refuse, mainly because I never had an account in the first place

And block all their DNS hostnames across all their personal devices? 🥰

life would 100% go on just fine if i never saw another embedded tweet ever again

I’ve had it blocked for months now and it’s amusing realizing how many “news” articles are just lists of exactly that.

I deleted the app when he switched to X but I was addicted to the content so I kept going via browser.

The content itself has weaned me off. The promoted right wingers throw off the algorithm and I'm just not addicted anymore.

all social medias are well aware of how addictive they are, and they exploit that fact to the absolute best of their ability. that i replaced my reddit addiction with lemmy addiction is irrelevant--i still spend unhealthy amounts of time on it.

i'm just thankful i never took root in any of the other instatwitsnaptok platforms. i was on facebook for a long time, but finally deleted it. you realize how liberating it is to be done with it, once you're out of the habit of constantly checking it every few minutes

I never signed up. I never saw the point of it. Still don't, other than ego stroking and brain dumping.
