Post bunny pics, post questions about rabbits, almost anything bunny-related goes (whether wild or domestic). "Almost" because this is a community for bunny enjoyers—no images of dead or injured rabbits, please.

Not officially affiliated with any rabbit subreddits.

House Rabbit Society is overall a fantastic resource on pet rabbits: info on diets, health, vet care, adopting bunnies, and behavior.

Welcome! (lemmy.world)

Hello everyone!

With reddit becoming inaccessible or just unsavory for a lot of users, many of us are coming to the Fediverse looking for the same niche communities and conversations that we had there. While this is in no way affiliated with any rabbit-related subreddits, I learned a lot and loved to share and see everyone's little and large lagomorphs.

I made this community in the hope that it can become a place for everyone to share photos, seek support, and ask questions or find information on rabbits of all shapes and sizes.

Please be respectful and kind, but most importantly have fun.

There was a time in my life where I wanted to see wild bunnies on YouTube and my searches only ever turned up the same few videos I'd already seen and rewatched over and over. Turns out I was just using the wrong search terms. This video is new to me and I am delighted.

Shot a picture of bunbun looking outside the fence. Looked like one of those shots where a character looks wistfully at something while dreaming of some goal. Or maybe the grass is just greener and tastier on the other side of the fence :P

Bad camera quality on this one makes the eye look a lot like what you see during a solar eclipse! But hey, at least it's OC and I don't own a fancy camera.

I'm definitely still alive. I appreciate the !bun_alert_system@lemmy.sdf.org and encourage it especially because it's good to have things off of lemmy.world, but I figure I should probably still run this one so there's redundancy in case lemmy.sdf.org goes down. I was considering perhaps seeing if people want to move off lemmy.world to somewhere else…

two-bun treat time (lemmy.world)

If only my phone camera's pictures were as sharp as what my eyes saw…

Funnily enough, the buns look like they have googly eyes, especially the right one where it literally looks like I drew googly eyes in MS Paint on the picture.

I am normally happy to let the two communities stay separate but this video is just too good to not share here as well

Personally found the background music very distracting, I suggest muting the video.

Finally, my plight of looking for "jumping bunnies" "hopping bunnies" "jumping bunny" and other permutations of that phrase on YouTube and only turning up with this one great video which I've seen a million times, children's songs, and videos that contain bunnies but very few/no hops is done. My search has turned up a video of bunnies hopping that isn't the one I've already seen a million times.

I probably should not have been laughing when the bunnies fought and the person put an object between them to stop it and started massaging the two against each other. I blame the background music.
