Gaza has been struck by renewed airstrikes from the passive voice, media outlets are reporting. It comes just days after Lebanon suffered hundreds of new casualties at the hands of the grammatical device.

“Thousands of civilians in Gaza have been killed” one newspaper reported, while another noted that “Houses have been bombed and lives have been lost”. Others described how Palestinians had been “found dead”, “shot at”, “cleared” and “displaced”. Another newspaper reported that “Violent protests leave dozens dead”.

John Briggadon from the Subeditors Society, said the passive voice is one of the most violent entities the world has ever seen. “It is ruthless. It is responsible for countless deaths, bombings, airstrikes, starvations, displacements and casualties. It has killed millions of people. Or, should I say, millions of people have been killed by it”.

Media outlets denied overusing the passive voice. “We don’t publish the headlines; the headlines are published,” one media group clarified.

Been pooping today and my poop was black which had me worried. Normally it's never black unless I'm drinking. So in a panic I googled it and of course you get all the same looking medical sites that alert you that you have severe stomach bleeding and are going to die at any second.

So I do what everyone is forced to do, add "reddit" to the end of my search term, and what do you know? It's the same shit on reddit. Someone has black stool and some redditor called "fartboxpuncher" tells them they're dying.

You have to dig through like 60 something same replies until you find someone who actually did have black stool and who's partner is a nurse. They said wait it out 24 hours and see if it doesn't go away, or it might be something you're eating.

Sucks that people are forced to put up with the highest upvoted "answers" being copy pasted from medline2line247.online.biz and not from someone with like actual first-hand advice.

And that's not to even mention the AI results which probably would tell me I'm turning into a lizard and I should drink gasoline.

Cloud was a very funny marketing buzzword that started with a real meaning and then devolved into "connects to the Internet." Cloud based things didn't even have to do anything with the Internet for marketing wonks to pretend like being connected to the cloud meant something. Great innovation folks just throw a wifi receiver in it and call it "The Cloud" we did it wow such innovation.

AI is rapidly descending into the same thing. There was a time when "AI" was being used to refer to actual machine learning algorithms that were good enough to fool the layperson into thinking they were smart. Nowadays the word AI just means "can compute something." Does it accept an input and make a decision on that input? Call it AI! My calculator is an AI! An ebook is AI enabled because it automatically changes the page based on how long I spent on the last page! My fridge has AI because it tells me when I accidentally left it open! Wow we just put extremely basic algorithms into everything and now it's AI! We did it we revolutionized technology forever!

Anyway now it's time for the prolific posters of Hexbear to flex your Nostradamus muscles. What's the next Big Dumb Tech Marketing Buzzword going to be and why? Lay it on us.

The descriptions of the excuses and actions of the occupation in 1982, the blatant disregard for human life and Lebanon sticking to a ceasefire agreement and Israel breaking it.

I don't believe for a moment that people outside Western countries are falling for any of what's happening in Israel, only folks back home and in other Western countries believe any of it is true; the Japanese are also deciding to side with Palestine on this (surprisingly) and I'm not entirely convinced the Taiwanese or South Koreans are falling for it; Are the people of SK and Taiwan siding with Israel and the US on the matter? Probably, but I think even they know what this is.

Call it a Tamemoji. It gets its own column on your profile page complete with its stats. It evolves digi-like across emojis sharing keywords. Not sure how we'd tier them though.

He's not saying anything special, he's saying literally what's on every sane person's mind, and yet after wading through Western articles about the terror attack it feels like I'm surrounded by people who've tied themselves into a pretzel to explain what we can all see with our own two eyes as terrorism, and this is the one guy who looks utterly normal.

I couldn't even finish the video because nothing he says is special, it's all the stuff we can see with our own two eyes and what we can (with no difficulty whatsoever) logically tell 'this is terrorism', and yet despite that it stand out resoundingly powerful because this is one of the few places I'm seeing people calling a spade a spade, rather than utilizing every trick in a propagandist's book to not only sidestep calling the act terrorism, but to turn it around and praise it as some kind of brilliant, precise, tactical maneuver.

It's refreshing and I hate how refreshing it is; it shouldn't feel so special to be getting something normal.

Cornell students allege yesterday was the “first [known] time a U.S. university has enacted deportation powers against a student” over Palestine organizing, effectively deporting grad student Momodou Taal, over a protest of defense contractors at a job fair last week.
