Incredible photo. Why is the lighting to intense lmao

That's what they call bisexual lighting

[–] Cummunism@hexbear.net 39 points 4 months ago (1 children)

it's to show they are plotting to make you bi too

[–] SuperZutsuki@hexbear.net 18 points 4 months ago

Idk, this 90's attempt at bisexual lighting just makes them look slightly menacing.

[–] kristina@hexbear.net 20 points 4 months ago

To show theyre down to clown

[–] Ildsaye@hexbear.net 3 points 4 months ago

It was to become more intense. They're still in their Thomas Anderson era, but already evolving toward their Nebuchadnezzar arc

[–] goose@hexbear.net 40 points 4 months ago

Bisexuality is when you like cappuccino and cowboys

[–] Hestia@hexbear.net 29 points 4 months ago

Holy shit, you can have sex with men and women? Wow.

Wait till they find out there's more than two genders you can be attracted to.

[–] AernaLingus@hexbear.net 22 points 4 months ago (2 children)

This got me absolutely cackling, I just keep looking away and looking back and it gets funnier every time

Here's the article btw

[–] glans@hexbear.net 12 points 4 months ago

Their marriage now is a home invention that they describe as "body-fluid monogamous."

1995 was a simpler time for people writing magazines.

They didn't even know about ASMR yet.

This article is too funny I can bearly handle it.

Surprisingly good as far as I got. I'm gonna read the rest later.

Is bisexuality really "not gay and not straight?"

Bisexuals pls educate the class, I assumed it's just like the middle of the sexuality spectrum not an entirely different axis

[–] fox@hexbear.net 33 points 4 months ago (1 children)

It's both 100% gay and 100% straight

[–] Red_Sunshine_Over_Florida@hexbear.net 20 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Fully gay and fully straight, like some sort of Christological formula, lol.

[–] peeonyou@hexbear.net 8 points 4 months ago (1 children)

You need fully trans in there for the triune sexuality

”Not gay and not straight”

Bisexuality solidarity Asexuality

[–] mar_k@hexbear.net 8 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

most monosexuals think like this because of bi erasure and the idea of a gay-straight dichotomy. it's like if you're from a culture where "purple" was never really a color, and then when it catches on people start thinking of it more as "red-blue" than a color in its own right. also, a little more complicated than that:

think of a bilingual person who speaks both spanish and english. are they somewhere "in the middle" between spanish monolingualism and english monolingualism? no, that would be like, spanglish. bilinguals know both, leading to their own unique experiences/challenges/ways of thinking

edit: also, despite the prefix, bisexuality isn't restricted to 2 genders

[–] Poogona@hexbear.net 6 points 4 months ago

I guess I just saw the spectrum as a measure of exclusion, so I figured a bi person would be in the middle.

(My stemlord ass immediately was like "oh so it's like codominance instead of incomplete dominance")

The birth of Quantum Homo State Theory: until observed with a partner, the Bisexual could be either Straight or Gay. Upon observation, they become one or the other. This state may or may not invert itself should the subject acquire a new partner.

"A new sexual identity emerges."

Me: "Ooh, Asexuality?... Definitely wasn't hoping for Asexual representation."

Cappuccino vs Cowboys, the war that goes in to this day

[–] LaGG_3@hexbear.net 10 points 4 months ago (1 children)

It all started when Texas Red rode up to the Starbucks drive through and couldn't get his cappuccino made with dandelion root coffee

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 12 points 4 months ago (1 children)

But he couldn't stop the barista

So he withheld his 10 cent tip

Withheld his ten cents tiiiiiiiip

Bisexuality is not 29 years old. This is a 29 year old article reporting on something created 30 years ago with Blur’s hit single β€œBoys and Girls”.

[–] ComradePlatypus@hexbear.net 9 points 4 months ago

Used to be you could have girls who want boys, who like boys to be girls, who do boys like they're girls, who do girls like they're boys, but not anymore due to woke.

[–] Pandantic@midwest.social 15 points 4 months ago

Thank you to all the brave bisexuals who founded bisexuality so that I may join 11 years later.

[–] milk_thief@hexbear.net 13 points 4 months ago

[–] DrCrustacean@hexbear.net 9 points 4 months ago

Wow, less than 30 years from its invention for a majority of people on earth to be bi...

[–] peeonyou@hexbear.net 9 points 4 months ago
