If they release the 8a, 8 and 8pro at the same time, it will be a compelling trio, they will trade blows with the offerings from Apple and Smung
Even though a benchmark leaked, I don't think we'll see an 8a this year, Google needs to sell those 7a's first.
How big is it?
The Pixel 8's screen is likely going to be 6.17', so we can assume that the Pixel 8a will be even smaller.
I've got a 6a which I consider to be too tall, and I'm assuming the 8a is going to be bigger, but I would sure love to learn otherwise.
