Does it have a webcam? It’s Mac so probably. Do they not see an issue here or is this a bug and not a feature? Sure they will do their best to protect it, but how many 0 days do we have to see before we realize that software isn’t the best security.

If its supposed to be a smart home controller it will also have always on microphones. Have fun

And for convenience sake, they will make it more sensitive so instead of saying “Siri” all you have to do is say “i” or “e”….or any other vowel.

Not creepy at all! Smile for the NSA!

The NSA love all of this smart home stuff I am sure. Between it and the smart phone there is 100% surveillance.

I mean, the new Studio Display has its own A series chip in it that is for processing the Camera stuff. It's basically a gigantic iPhone lol.

Yeah, this seems like a pretty logical next step considering the overpowered hardware in the Studio Display.

So it's kind of like the Pixel Tablet. It's a monitor when you need it, a smart home hub when idle.

Makes sense. I just bought a (refurbished) Studio Display.

Guess I’m unplugging it
