Yes they are hypocrites, no they do not care. Trump doesn't care when libs call out his hypocracy. Biden doesn't care when we do his. The only thing they ask themselves is "are we winning?" and their definition of "winning" is domination. The american oligarchy is nothing but a cabal of vampires that is leeching the life blood out of the rest of the world and turning us to dust figuratively and literally.

Speaking truth to power is folly. Power knows the truth and doesn’t care.

I thought that up on my lonesome just now, but I’m not surprised to discover I’m not the first.

Surely by now liberals have realized the folly in assuming justice is delivered by “speaking truth to power”? Power knows the truth, and determines what gets to be the regime of truth.

Remember: the west has business leaders, billionaires, investors, captains of industry, CEOs

Everyone else has Oligarchs

When we do the thing it's good. When you do the thing it's bad

Remember when people called mike bloomberg an oligarch, and others were defending him by citing webster’s dictionary or whatever to say that an oligarch can only be from russia by definition.

An american billionaire has to be a sparkling entrepreneur.

The guy who got mad on tv about it is now a guest host on MSNBC shows

the mere existence of the prc is a huge thorn in the side of the capitalist propaganda engine. capitalism is not well suited to the current level of industrialization, not in the current western dictatorship of the bourgeois formation.

it's called trying to win, now ask them about US sponsored death squads in Latin America and the rest of the world. Was United Fruit playing on a level playing field? Oh right of course, the pesky socialists threatened to pay them what they claimed their land was worth. What about Coca Cola then? Do they play on a level playing field?

China using subsidies is bad. US using subsidies is good. China using free market is bad. US using free market is good. How many times do I have to explain this?

Am I just an old man yelling at clouds, or did our evil rulers try harder in the past? They’re just mailing it in right now. No attempt to deceive.

[–] RyanGosling@hexbear.net 35 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Well who do they need to deceive? Most people are on board with the government’s agenda. The only difference is the flavor of the agenda.

While I get what you’re saying, Biden is trailing in pretty much every swing state with a hint of color. He could have gained a lot by pretending earlier, imo. But it’s also not just about the voters. It used to be about making the appearance of rightness for the world or whatever.

During the first Trump administration, we used to get breathless commentaries about soft power and how these Republican savages were killing the concept. Now we’re just sending people everywhere to tell other countries to fuck off, we’re blowing up key infrastructure, etc. It just appears odd.

[–] Flyberius@hexbear.net 3 points 5 months ago

I dunno. History always seems shockingly brazen when you get into the nitty gritty. Especially the end of the Roman republic.

this is just what anti-cracker-aktions do 24/7 on literally everything they say

Conservatives will complain about government overspending and government inefficiency but china, even when it utilizes private-public partnerships, exert its control to ensure projects are delivered. The west refuses to do that because “free market” means allowing companies to jerk off with your money and then demand more money from you as reparations for them jerking off with it.

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 23 points 5 months ago

Unfortunately pointing out this hypocrisy does nothings. Liberals are very hard to deprogram

[–] Frogmanfromlake@hexbear.net 15 points 5 months ago

Now hopefully China doesn’t take this shit seriously and continues to do what they do. I’m never entirely sure with them given how their foreign policy is.
