I will miss hobbydrama, subredditdrama, disneyvacation, and then a bunch of the smaller niche music subreddits dedicated to different types of metal, indie rock, and electronic music. This is actually my first post in the fediverse and I am hoping that enough of this type of stuff can find a home as the fediverse grows. I might just have to make some of the niche music ones myself.
r/Traa, r/MTF, and r/transytalk are big ones for me. I got a lot of support with my transition through Reddit but know all those support networks are gone.
Username certainly checks out
Sushi, pizza, food, sushiabominations, anything food related really. I used to only browse those subreddits until I got sucked into Frontpage and ended up sucked into a toxic cesspool of derangement hahah...
Anyone know how I can set an avatar btw? I'm obviously too dense to figure it out.
r/croatia, r/askbalkans r/Balkans_irl and other communities with mostly people from balkan
I'm definitely gonna miss some of the AMAs.
I miss how AMA used to be. But it's been years since I enjoyed one. There's definitely room for a better version of that. It will be hard get the kinds of high profile people that Reddit gets without a bigger user base but it could happen.
/r/aoe2 was one of my favorites. I hope plenty of users decide to make the switch.
/r/anime_titties, which despite the name was a world new aggregator sub that did a great job of not being too euro-centric. The best part that it brought people from many political ideologies and countries, so it was far less of an echo-chamber than most news subs. It still trended left, but it was a good mix.
r/rimworld love the game, love the community, there is a community here on lemmy, but it only has 18 subs, so I'm afraid it won't be the same ):
It'll get there, just make less hats for a bit
r/internet_funeral They have surreal textual art which was pretty cool
Subreddit drama.
The various graphics programming subreddits. Weren't super active but every now and again there were some mind-blowing posts.
I will miss /reddevils cause it's fun to see fans of your club interact on a daily basis. Same goes probably for all the wholesome subs, all the cute dog-content cause it was a good feeling to have positive outlets to come to and just have a few "aww"-moments.
r/imaginarysliceoflife
/r/whowouldwin :(
Also /r/tiktokcringe, so many of the videos there had me nearly in tears in laughter
Iβm going to miss r/guitar and r/guitar lessons. As someone who just started getting back into playing guitar, those two subreddits were ESSENTIAL treasure troves of tips, information, and guides to learning, practicing and enjoying guitar. Hoping to find / develop something similar on Lemmyβ¦
