MODERATORS

Hi, just tried Summit and it has improved very much compared to its early access days. The work done on this app by the developer and the community is admirable.

I have just one little feature request. Can you please add the option to skim through posts and comments via volume buttons the same way Infinity for Reddit/Lemmy does?

TIA!

Sounds weird but sure I can add it for the next update.

I'd say they heard your request loud and clear.

I want the option to have child comments collapse

This already exists as both a gesture, a comment header tap action and there is even a setting to turn taps anywhere on the comment to collapse. How else do you want comments to be collapsed?

All the main comments will appear as the original. If I want to read the Comment of comments, I will open it.

Just to make sure I understand, the feature would auto collapse all children of top level comments but top level comments will be shown by default. Is that correct?

Edit: I guess currently this state doesn't even exist in the app because there's no such thing as a comment with all of its children collapsed into one.

Yes this is correct

Oh I didn't mean no app had it. It was more of a mental note for myself.

As an example, the main comment will appear as in the screenshot. But children will not appear. But if I click on the main comment, the children comments will appear.
