PatientGamers was one of my favorite subs. Glad to see it here on Lemmy.
Patient Gamers
A gaming community free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.

Sam's, I only discovered PatientGamers recently but it soon became one of my favourites.
I'm really looking forward to find new amazing games that are completely fixed/patched, are heavily discounted AND run great on my steamdeck while also give me plenty of battery life. Happy gaming! :)
I'd love to get a steamdeck! One day I'll have one
Since from what I read online there is a considerable amount of people who are switching to the ASUS Ally. (I would never switch because the ally lacks the touchpads and is not really capable of gaming at really low TDP like the steamdeck - which directly impacts the battery life) Anyway, you may have luck on second hand steamdecks, which might be an option for you, depending on your budget.
Edit: ooor depending on your location, if you happen to live somewhere where it's not officially sold
A windows machine with 120hz screen for 1000 dollars. I dunno man. The Deck is so price worthy!
I'm excited to continue to have a community like this. Hearing fresh opinions on games that released like 10+ years ago is always engaging. And discovering games that got lost in the new release scramble is great.
I just joined lemmy and this was the first community that I've joined. What a perfect place for a busy dad and tabletop gamer. I'm still working my way through Rogue Legacy (the first one) and might even install Skyrim on my Switch one day soon. :D
Happy to be here and great to see everyone.
I'm so patient I didn't discover this until it showed up on Lemmy haha
