People do it both ways. This isn't an ND thing.

Seriously, why do some people seem to insist that every single behavioral trait is ND?

[–] Lumidaub@feddit.de 18 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

They're seeing things in themselves that are different from (what they correctly or mistakenly perceive as) the "norm". Since most NDs have experienced being scolded, ridiculed, shamed, ostracised for being "different", some over and over again, for all their life, they've internalised that the "weird" thing is their fault, that there's something inherently wrong with them. Recontextualising a (new) "weird" thing as a consequence of their neurodivergence makes it not their fault or at least lessens the feeling of "wrong". ... I keep saying "they" as if I don't catch myself doing it.

No, no I've seen many a North Dakotan do this.

I look up and right then roll to up and left. Are there people that actually do a full circle?

[–] Mewtwo@lemmy.blahaj.zone 80 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Pretty sure this isn't true

All of it. People don’t have eyes.

[–] oatscoop@midwest.social 3 points 2 years ago

How can mirrors be real if our eyes aren't real?

[–] Lexica@sh.itjust.works 39 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Who the hell is so weak that simply rolling their eyes results in FUCKING MOTION SICKNESS??!!??

[–] sorebuttfromsitting@sopuli.xyz 5 points 2 years ago

i think if i just laid there and rolled my eyes for weeks i might be sick. is that what they meant?

[–] sorebuttfromsitting@sopuli.xyz 31 points 2 years ago (1 children)
