Maybe I missed it; where is the banned game Uniracers/Unirally on the list?

Game was amazing for its time.

The article seems to have missed a lot of games from their DMA era. The Wikipedia article is more complete than the IGN one.

Why would Uniracers be banned? 🤔

[–] Uglyhead@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It got pulled after DMA got sued for copyright infringement on the design and personalities of the unicycles in the game. The only place you could find a copy was at game rental places.

Huh... I must have gotten my copy before that happened. And lol at the reason. Who the hell held the copyright to the 'cycles personalities? From what I remember, they were all the same anyway, just different colored.

Edit: Oh shit, it was Pixar. And reading the case, and the evidence, it was a bullshit suit and the judge was an idiot. 🤦‍♂️

I hadn't realized that GTA V was 10 years old now. Damn.

I actually just replayed it recently for the first time since around release (I don't fuck with GTA:O) and I've got to say, it holds up really fucking well
