Deep Rock Galactic and (believe it or not) Crusader Kings

Vintage Story.

Its basically what minecraft survival mode could have been if they went in a slower paced and realism inspired direction.

Its very relaxing to hammer out some tools, make some clay pottery, liaten to your windmill grind away at some grain, etc.

For me my comfort games are either Satisfactory or Forgotten Hope 2 (WW2 mod for Battlefield 2 which is still maintained)

Im barely on Reddit anyway but when I do replys always feel like they take ages

So this is a pleasent surprise already here on the lemmyverse

BOTW for sure. The expansive open world is just great to get lost in. Not to mention the soundtrack can be calming when you're out riding your horse in the fields.

Outer Wilds. But I already know everything that happens. So I prefer watching a stream/VOD of someone playing it for the first time.

Journey and Flower

Hardspace: Shipbreaker can be a super relaxing game. You sit back and slowly disassemble massive spaceships in a salvaging yard. I love playing it when I want something mindless but relaxing. It's nice sitting alone in the salvaging yard with the catchy music and slicing apart a bulkhead.

Microsoft Flightsim for me. Pick a beautiful place, anywhere on Earth, and just explore. Even better if you do it in a glider: the only sound being the wind around you as you take in the view is incomparable.
