Wikipedia & Internet Archive should definitely move their legal bodies to EU.

When Republicans talked about the dangers of immigrants destroying society they were actually talking about Musk.

Our own government is now our enemy.

This all could have easily been avoided by rubbing some brain cells together. Apparently a terrifying number of Americans are incapable of doing so.

Right but… eventually Republicans would win and we’d be here regardless. That’s the worst part of it all.

Threat level for Wikipedia editors has gone up significantly. Just another sign of a dying democracy.

As if there was ever a true democracy in the first place

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago

Give it another decade. We'll be praying 24/7/365 for a return of the democracy we had. And I'm not exaggerating.

I think Wikipedia is a could we to judge a country. As soon as the government tries to fuck with Wikipedia they are 100% assholes and anyone who is not also an asshole should not support/vote for them.

In case anyone else was curious, yes, you can download a dump of Wikipedia - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Database_download
