75 should be mandatory retirement for all civil servants from the lowest to the highest. Past that age you cannot be guaranteed a clear thought on any subject
I swear I didn't push her, she just fell.
- Diggy Graves
geezin
Fun fact: she was the same rabid Foxx who bit Patrick McHenry.
Oh no, an old fuck who opposes health care and marriage equality fell down. I hope it hurt ☺️
How many of our politicians are old enough to draw social security? This is just fucking pathetic.
Assuming the age 62 is still retirement age for them, 163 Representatives and 63 Senators. (Based on the 118th Congress numbers from 2023, so maybe a few more now). 127 and 51 if it's now age 65.
Her government paid healthcare will pay 100% and will continue to receive her full pay during her recovery.
Can't deny those health insurance claims!
They should be put on the healthcare that their average constituents carry.
A shame she didn't die.
During her time in office, Foxx was one of the 11 members of Congress to vote against the $51 billion aid package to victims of Hurricane Katrina. She also introduced the Preserving Employee Wellness Programs Act in 2017.
She later voted against both articles of impeachment in 2019 for former President Donald Trump, with her also being one of the 147 Republican lawmakers who objected to the certification of electoral votes from the 2020 presidential election on January 6, 2021.
Foxx is an opponent of the Affordable Care Act, saying that "we have more to fear from the potential of the Affordable Health Care for America Act passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country." In 2022, Foxx voted against the Respect for Marriage Act to codify same-sex and interracial marriage rights federally.
Little more grease next time, eh.
She introduced the PEWP Act.
May her recovery be slow and painful like the harm she wishes on her fellow Americans through her actions.
This bitch wouldn't let her neighbors move their cars through her property to relocate them by the road when their driveway washed out during hurricane Helene. She even had sheriffs come out to make sure there was no trespassing by the neighbors while lineman opened gates to access power lines. They had no other way to get their cars out. This is one on long list of ways she's pissed on those she represents.
Is the ground ok?
Why don’t people strive anymore to be the kind of person who can slip and fall without strangers celebrating it and wishing it had killed them? I mean if I woke up and knew that random people literally wished I would just die and go away for specific reasons related to my actions and not from widespread demonization through propaganda, I’d have a major existential crisis and reconsider a lot of things about my life.
But then again, I have a conscience.
People do. They just don't become politicians.
Nor do they get the media attention
I dont think citizens realize that these politicians either hate the public or think they are convenient idiots.
I mean, I feel for her. Just don't be in government anymore.
You would suck so bad at politics.
I take that as a compliment.
*glances at Bernie Sanders*
Maybe not.
You know, there's that old yarn about Alfred Nobel. That his obituary was accidentally published early and that he was shocked and dismayed to discover that the only thing he'd be remembered for was the invention of Dynamite. So, he went on to create the Nobel Peace Prize, in the hopes of contributing something other than death to the world.
I'm not saying Nobel was a fantastic dude, but at least he cared enough to not be remembered as the guy that made it possible for your son to get blown to peices in a war. He wanted something positive associated with name.
Even that seems too high a bar for these folks. They've become so entrenched in their own little world that I don't think they much care what anyone outside it thinks.
Not smiling when bad people get hurt doesn’t make you a good person, or suggest you have a conscience.
Hear me out. We get a bunch of Banana peels...
If my tub is any comparison to the marble around the capital, olive oil could take out half of congress.
Maybe we could shove bananas up our ass instead and run around in front of them.
I mean on marble stairs you could probably take old folks out with a few drops of water from a Dasani which like Foxx only deserves to be on the floor.
I'll get the oven
More like spelling police mirite?!
You shouldn't have edited your comment
If you are over the age of retirement, you should not be allowed to run for elected offices. Stop electing dinosaurs. It doesn’t matter what side of the political spectrum you fall on, forced retirement of all qualified members of Congress needs to happen.
It could also be conveniently solved by implementing term limits. Most of these dinosaurs have been politicians longer than they’ve done any real job.
If you are too old for long term care insurance you should be too old for office.
They'll just raise it to 95 or some shit.
For fuck's sake... retire already.
But how would we all survive without her sage wisdom? Lol
Some people look more and more like their personality as they age. Judging by the article photo, she's one of them.
Hey fellow Skunk, your laugh made me laugh.
With how close the house is, it only takes a few more falls to flip it. Although it seems Democrats and Republicans are even on the slipping on stairs tally.
These fuckers are so goddamn old
