I wonder what the most popular controller to use on PC is in Japan. Xbox is plug and play, but Xbox controllers aren't popular. So would Nintendo or Sony controllers be the most popular with improvements in steam input?

DualShock line is also plug and play at least with Steam, so I'd imagine that. They'd just have to deal with the occasional lazy port where the buttons show up as Xbox buttons in the game.

I use a ps4 controller on my pc, and it has been plug and play as well. The only "issue" I've had is with some older (~10 years) games displaying xbox button prompts

I used my PS5 controller way more on Mac than on the console itself. It has been plug and play as well
