What Trump is too stupid to realize is that this is Musk's presidency. Trump has always been a puppet to money and Elon can just buy him off, like he bought his way into Tesla.

This specific tension happened a lot sooner than I expected.
Let's see... a guy famous for (among other things) owning a company that builds electric cars teams up with the guy who said he wants to outlaw electric cars. Fireworks were inevitable at some point.
I don't think EVs are the key issue here. The key issue are the grotesquely overinflated egos they both have. It's basically impossible for them to accept anyone as equal.
It's called narcissism and they are both textbook examples of it.
No it's a guy who wants to be king vs a guy who wants to hold the whip but both view themselves as heroes and the greatest gift to humanity.
One thinks his personality is what won him over and will keep all the support of his followers and one thinks he's the smartest person in the room and his correctness will show that he deserves all his followers.
It's cult leader narcissist vs cult leader narcissist. They don't even have to get to policy before the breakdown occurs.
Tesla produces primarily stock market manipulation schemes, cars secondly...
The value isn't tied to the cars they produce now, so it doesn't matter how many cars they actually sell.
Trust will be the one defining feature of the ~~next Trump~~Musk administration.

I think this is hilarious. I wonder if they have some kind of agreement that trump can't just back out of. Maybe it was a handshake deal and he's just now getting annoying enough?
It isn't really an 'agreement', it is power. Money is power, and that makes Musk extremely powerful. He has shown that he can literally buy congress - either directly, or by threatening to back challengers. And while trump has the title of President, he doesn't have the power: it has been shown that trump backing a person just isn't enough to get them elected any more, unlike Musk's money backing a person.
But people actually stormed Capitol Hill and went to jail for Trump, not Musk. I don't see any backwater dispossessed citizen taking part in a coup for Temu Tony Stark.
I guess donvict better keep that "Truth" "Social" scam running for a while, because he's going to need a platform to bleat on about Elmo when he gets pulled from Xitter.
Reporters need to start asking trump how he likes working with such a wealthy person as Musk...

I think it was an YUGE step for Trump to admit he can’t do the job on his own. And, to let Rupert Murdoch and Vladmir make him let Elon have control could not have been easy. So kudos Don, for admitting you’re just not smart enough and needed help.

Unsurprisingly, this also works on Trump supporters. They get furious when you even go so far as accidentally and unintentionally imply that Musk's opinion will influence Trump's actions.

8 years ago I'd have thought "Elon will step out of the limelight to avoid upsetting Trump so he can use his White House access to make a ton of money." Now, I know he's just as narcissistic and stupid as Donald Trump is.
Something in him changed. Broke. Maybe all the drugs fucked him up. Idk. I used to look up to him. In the last say decade, I’ve condemned him. I’d love to see him flogged in public.
His origin story is that he bullied a kid so much for dead parents in his school that the kid eventually pushed Elon down the stairs and he swore to never be able to be picked on again.
He's always been a villain he was just charismatic enough and pretended to be the good guy until the mask broke and he went full villain to try and put the mask back up.
I can't even be excited for the awesome things some of his compaines are doing. The engineers ar Space X are doing amazing work but all I think about when I see it is Musk.

Nothing in this article supports the headline directly. The last paragraph is.

If it's this easy to manipulate trump, just imagine how easy it is for Russia.
