I have around 600 games on Dota 2 and only after 600 games can I say I am no longer a new player which is insane amount of games to exit the new player category and so id like to share my experience
I started dota 2 cuz a freind suggested we start playing together and the new player experience was weird to say the least btw this was my first moba experience
If I didn't have an experienced friend I wouldn't have been able to get into the game id still be figuring out tangos for me It took almost 15 games to get my 1st kill think and if I was playing alone I would've likely quit because of the demotivation
It took me nearly 60ish games to learn how to properly use couriours and hundreds to figure out neutral items
I feel like I've just now gotten good at last hitting and for my first hundreds of games I would get very little CS and no Denys
The large amount of characters made it so I had to learn every one of there abilities to properly be able to counter them the only way to learn a character to counter it was to play a game or two as that charcater but that process alone takes hundreds of hours
And only now after 600 games do I feel like I can properly play the pos 1 and pos 2 role which are some of the most attractive roles as a begginer and every day I still find things I feel like I should've known long before
So is this like this for everyone or was I just born with a special case of stupid id reallh like to hear your opinions.
