Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.

The Christian charity toward sex pests is truly boundless

[–] oleorun@real.lemmy.fan 6 points 2 days ago (3 children)

These aren't Christians, these are wolves in sheep's clothing.

Institutionalized religion always works to protect itself. Christianity is no exception.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 22 points 2 days ago

These are Christians. You don't get to distance yourself from them just because they actually read your holy book, and not just the red words.

LOL.

You mean the report that shows Trump's AG pick is a pedophile? That report?

More proof Republicans have, and will continue to fight for, and protect pedophiles.

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Gaetz would probably argue that no, he's an ephebophile.

[–] Shapillon@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

eeeew! (this is the factorial of disgust)

[–] Sanctus@lemmy.world 40 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

Are you fucking kidding me? We've got to have some reprieve against this absolute madness. What you can't be held accountable you fucks? I'm sick of this already and he hasn't even taken office.

[–] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago (2 children)

If recent history is the template, to be unaccountable you must be:

  • white
  • male
  • rich
  • racist
  • misogynistic

...if you aren't all of these then I'm sorry, the rules of accountability apply to you.

In a small win for Progressives, with the power wielded by Peter Thiel to swing elections and public policy, one attribute was removed from the above list:

  • heterosexual

no. that was 10 years ago. that is a child's view now. trump is stacking every single fucking federal agency, health, defense, intelligence, finance, with morons who will run them all into the ground. his goal is chaos. there will be only 2 kind of people left in the united states in a few years : the very rich, and the dying.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Oh, and right wing. Rabidly right wing.

[–] shoulderoforion@fedia.io 5 points 2 days ago (2 children)

it. is. the. end. of. everything. you. thought. america. was. everything.

[–] Sanctus@lemmy.world -3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I mean after reading Blackshirts and the Reds it kinda seems like we've always been a little bit fascist. What is really going on is fascism is a simple tool of capitalism. Since we are all in on capitalism, theres a lot of similarities between us and even Nazi Germany when it comes to social issues and the economy, I mean shit I'm pretty sure we still got Migrant camps right now and Trump is not in office yet.

[–] shoulderoforion@fedia.io 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Trump's goal is chaos. A Million Americans died from his inept and mismanaged Global Pandemic response the last go around, and loading up every Federal agency with chuckleheads who can only run them into the ground (health, defense, intelligence, finance), he's gonna beat that first number handily. It's literally going to be bedlam, everywhere, all the time, with no checks, no balances. In Capitalism, for someone to earn, labor must be taken advantage of. In this scenario, I don't know how earnings can be created, when everyone is dying from something.

[–] Sanctus@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Idk it seems his goal is consolidation. He's mirroring Hitler's exact rise to power. Join party, take it over, get colored shirted goons to attack and harass, Oligarchs back you because the unions are rowdy, and with their backing you win the election. Then you purge nonloyalists from the government as well as problem members, and then you go after the media. Its exactly the same to a T. Its almost like having capitalists run everything always turns to authoritarianism.

[–] breadsmasher@lemmy.world 34 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Republican supporters will believe a demonic child sex cult is in a pizza parlour but won’t believe they voted one into office who is then protecting countless others

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago

It's projection. Always projection with that bunch.

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Even when we have the actual venmo receipts for it.

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 19 points 2 days ago
[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 15 points 2 days ago

And he's doing that for reasons of principle, and family values and rule of law and so on, amirite?

Right?

[–] Bonesince1997@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago

Much ethics all around /s

[–] TransplantedSconie@lemm.ee 9 points 2 days ago

You don't need ethics to be AG! Stoopid Libs - Child Rapist Party.

[–] CM400@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Well of course he did.

[–] youvegotmoxie@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Fucking coward

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

OK whatever, why hasn't anyone charged him after the initial investigation? I know you can get away with fucking high schoolers because of Christianity, but paying for sex is still a no-no in most jurisdictions right?

[–] Rapidcreek@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

There are problems with the case. The girl turned into a porn strar and is not a good witness. Another witness was found guilty of fraud and theft.

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago

That’s not the reason, though. Imperfect witnesses are quite often at the heart of criminal cases – co-conspirators, jailhouse informants, etc. If that was an obstacle, no mobsters or drug lords would ever have been convicted.

The real reason is cronyism and political privilege.

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

MAGA wants this from Johnson.
