We still face weeks of crippling political analysis, sensationalist reporting about phantom voter fraud, tantrums, recriminations, threats, and histrionics (if Harris wins, and probably even if trump wins his followers will still do this), hand-wringing about the far right's plans, probably some domestic terrorism, etc.
But hey, you did your part - you voted. And so did I and many others. We did all we can.
With depression, I’ll take every win I can get.
If that is just a small reprieve from the existential dread of a potential Trump win…?
Or the anxiety over needing to vote today, dealing with the crowds, getting my ballot cast, even with the rest of the shit storm on the horizon…

It's a beginning. Regardless of the results, Americans need to become more regularly involved with their representatives. Democracy, even representative, doesn't end at the vote. Voting only puts a person in place, it doesn't hold them accountable or let them know what your concerns are.
My part is done, but the journey is far from over.

Elections over forever?
This one is over for me at least, and for now that’s enough, but tomorrow is another day.
Mark my words: It's not done until PA completes their recount.
But like the movie the shot is taken from, we've got a lot to get through before credits roll. We're watching the special editions with this one.
