This is a good policy but it should only be available to people who make 34.5% of the median national wage or else people might abuse it

That's actually less complicated than how weed legalization works in Germany. I can legally light up a splif when i step out my back door, but not when i step out of my front door, because smoking in public has extremely specific zoning restrictions and you constantly go from a "fine to smoke" to a "smoking is a misdemeanor" zone. There are interactive maps that show you were it's legal to light up and everything.

Tbh I wouldn’t even mind this as long as it also applies to all smoking, not just marijuana. Maybe an unpopular opinion but smoking in public is really annoying to people who don’t want to breathe in your cigarette smoke
