For important emails I always draft the message before adding the recipient's email address. Then, I review it before finally adding in the email and hitting send.
And then you notice the typo, and feel even dumber.
Which is why I use that Gmail feature where you can undo send
You didn't hold back with that joke.
Alternate punch lines are tight!
When I worked at a lab there was a student with the last name Jark. Autocorrect felt it should be jerk. Luckily it effected everyone so he took it in stride.
affected
I just started using iffected , then you never need to worry if you used the wrong one
Floog floog floog floog
I do appreciate comments like these, which is unfortunate; I would have enjoyed replying to this with "Jark!"
I used to sweat trying to explain nitter to people (RIP).
I once sent an email to the President of Engineering to justify tuition reimbursement.
I told him that my ASS (should have been AAS) has been extremely beneficial to both the company and myself and I would like to take the next step and get my BSME.
He never responded.

Every furry who likes Scar from The Lion King making damn sure they press R and not T.
Rerards?
I got an advanced certificate from the City University of New York (CUNY). I had to write several work emails and fill out several forms to get my workplace to pay for it. The letter Y is next to the letter T on the keyboard. I think you can see where this is going.
Wallstreetbets has ruined even the regular best regards, and I only use regards now as a subtle insult in professional email signatures now.
Why don't you have that part in your signature tho
I leave that part blank. Some people don't deserve the best regards.
Have some regards, dog
OhmsLawn
Best retards will Not be for sale every day.
Because it's not part of my signature?
It doesn't mean much but I actually have had people notice that I manually type mine because I use different ones with different people / depending on the situation, so it feels like I actually mean them
I finished an email with "Breast regards" once. I'm very glad someone pointed that out :D
I actually read that 2 or 3 times wondering why T and G were circled, wondering what was the issue here….then I finally noticed… maybe whomever the email was sent never even noticed!
Yep, happened to me. But instead of "best regards", i usually end with simple "regards" which may have made it worse. I immediately followed up with an email profusely apologizing.
"Bigger things are coming."
Maybe you type that word too much. Bad habit
Always write correspondence into either notepad or an email body without a filled in address.
Friendly reminder that 'nugget' is only two minor typos from being quite offensive.
"Solid gold [REMOVED]"
please tell me you actually typed the word REMOVED and lemmy didn't have to do it for you
