I thought the term Aspergers Syndrome was removed from the DSM-V and people with the diagnosis were all grouped under ASD. Much like ADD into ADHD in that the boundaries between them are way too blurred.

True, but that doesn't mean everyone has stopped using the term yet, and that's very true of folks that had the diagnosis of Asperger's for a big chunk of their lives.

Afaik David Byrne and Gary Numan both claim to be autistic, though I dunno if they've been formally tested.
David Byrne is the lead singer of Talking Heads. Try watching something like his Stop Making Sense self-interview or True Stories.
I dunno about much about Gary Numan except that he was a pioneer in New Wave and electronic music in general; as well as the frontman for Tubeway Army (check out the album, Replicas).
I was only surprised by Wentworth and Anthony Hopkins.
