As far as I can tell, mostly just fantasy tropes and the poem by Percy Shelley, a personal favorite

I met a traveller from an antique land, Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. . . . The poem of course referring to the real Ozymandias, who is Ramses the Second with Ozymandias being a greek conversion of the egyptian name User-Maat-Re (or Re-User-Maat, of which the english translation is Rameses or Ramses)
